Welcome to R. Gregory Jewelers. Let me take this
opportunity to tell you a little about myself and the company.
After being in the jewelry business for 10 years with various companies,
I saw the need for a store that carries quality merchandise and gives
quality service. My goal at that time was to create the finest jewelry
store in NC. A store with many unique, one-of-a-kind pieces and designer
lines at affordable prices. I wanted a store where everyone felt
welcome and would be proud to refer their family and friends here.
With quality and service in mind we have grown from two employees
over twenty years ago to twelve employees to date.
The endeavor to attain my goal has led to many exciting events.
We have been on buying trips all over the world: New York, California,
Paris, Belgium, London and Switzerland to seek out designers that
pride themselves on excellence and making pieces of unequaled fashion
and quality.
We have hosted some of the area's largest and most prestigious events.
We have had Diamond Cutters from New York here to show the process
of taking a diamond from rough to finished. We hosted the Lost Galleon
Treasure Show which brought the divers that found the Atocha ship
along with original artifacts to our store. We were the first jewelry
store in our area to have a Pearly Show where pearls were strung
while you wait. We also hosted a remount show where we redesigned
your jewelry and our goldsmith set it while you wait. Most recently,
we hosted a show with "America's Indiana Jones." He was
featured in National Geographic for his fearless searches for raw
stones in war-torn Afghanistan. Mr. Bowersox brought over 27,000
gemstones to our store. Our more exciting show to date has been "America's
Royal Family." We featured the "Carolina Prince," a
7.85 carat oval emerald and the "Carolina Queen," an 18.88
carat pear emerald both found in Hiddenite, North Carolina. I am
the marketing agent for both stones and coined the phrase " America's
Royal Family." The emeralds were featured in USA Today, UPI,
Reuters, People Magazine, and the Charlotte Observer. The were covered
on the Oprah Winfrey Show, TLC, PBS, and all local broadcasting affiliates.
I negotiated the sale of the "Carolina Prince" for an unprecedented
$500,000.00. The "Carolina Queen" is currently on sale.
Appointments can be made to view or purchase the stone at our store.
We are proud to offer the largest selection of fine jewelry in the
area. We also offer many services including computerized diamond
grading as part of our gem lab services. We are a member of the Diamond
High Council and was awarded and Ambassadorship for outstanding services
to the industry. We are part of the largest buying group in the world
and a Direst Diamond Importer from Antwerp, Belgium.
I was born in Statesville, North Carolina and I have lived here
all my life. I enjoy having a business that can serve my family and
friends. Everyone at R. Gregory Jewelers wants to make your purchase
an unforgettable experience and we want you to become part of our
family of friends. Now my daughter and son-in-law have joined my
wife and I and the next generation will continue on.
